Riverway hosts a wide range of sports throughout the year. All the sports sections and associate clubs are always the looking for new playing members, both young and old and of all abilities.

Our club is looking to organise a summer rounders league for 2010. If you are interested in getting involved or entering team, please register your interest by mailing us at info@riverway-events.co.uk

We also have space for more darts teams throughout the year. If you are strugging for a venue or wish to organise a new team in 2010, please get in touch.

The club has two championship bowls greens at the rear of the pavilion, if you are a council season ticket holder,why not also join our club ? Social membership is only £10 per year !

Stafford CC have four Saturday teams, two Sunday teams and junior sections from 11 up to 18 years of age. The club is actively seeking new playing and social members and of course a bit of support!! Why not come and watch some cricket in 2010 whilst enjoying a refreshing drink or two?

Stafford Hockey Club is based Riverway Hockey & Cricket Club. We have 4 men's teams playing in the MRHA Leagues, 2 Summer league teams playing in the MSHL, 1 Veterans team and a Badgers team. St Leonards RUFC (formally GEC St Leonards) have now played from The Brian Westhead Pavilion for over 5 seasons The "Saints" are steeped in tradition and passionate about rugby. A very social club, they are always looking for new players and spectators. The 1st XV are currently playing in Midlands 4 West and the 2nd XV field a very strong side in the merit league.

Stafford Ladies Hockey Club is an associate member of SCHC and play their matches at Beaconside, generally on a Saturday.  They run 5 senior sides in the Staffordshire Women’s League, and Junior and Badger teams for under 18s.  New players are always welcome no matter what their ability or experience.  Please contact Christine Weetman on 07790 078118 or email christineweetman@hotmail.co.uk

Riverway FC started life as a Sunday morning side (Eagle FC and later Greyhound Yarlet FC) and still put out 2 sides on a Sunday morning. However, the club also set up a Saturday team in the late 1990's who have risen through the leagues and now play in the West Midlands League Division 1. Both Saturday and Sunday sides are always on the lookout for talented young players and more details can be obtained from Andrew Richardson on 07715 846727.

Riverway Hawks are an U14's team who enjoy their football with an emphasis on stylish play and team ethos. They are entering their third year as an eleven a-side team and currently play in the top division of the Mid Staffs Junior League. The squad consists of 17 players at the moment plus extra lads who enjoy training with us. Our official sponsors are Midlands Portable Buildings Ltd who have funded our home strip and contribute towards training equipment.

Riverway U11's Saturday soccer school:

For the first time at Riverway for the 20009/2010 we have a mini football pitch at the ground. This is being used by Riverway FC under 11's. This is a new club playing in the Mid staffs junior football league. The organisers also run the Saturday Soccer School at Riverway on a Saturday morning.

The soccer school's aim is to provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere in which children from ages 5 -10 can learn the basics of football, skills, tricks, fitness and teamwork in a safe, fun environment.
