The club's annual beer festival which will coincide with the hockey festival will be held at Riverway on 19th, 20th & 21st April 2012

Stafford CC will play Stafford Rangers FC in a charity 20:20 cricket match on Friday 8th June 2012 - more info to follow
The club will hold a "Jubilee Sixes" Tournament on Monday 4th June 2012 - More info to follow
Derek Randall has been confirmed as our guest speaker for the annual Sportsman's Evening on 25th May 2012
The annual golf day will take place at Stafford Castle GC on Friday 18th May 2012
Aparajit Singh signs on for a second year as club professional **** Opening 1st team leagure fixture on 14th April will be at home to Kidsgrove **** The Talbot Cup draw sees Stafford paired with Caverswall at home on 22nd April
The cricket section SGM took place recently with a new committee voted in. The club also now has a new first team captain with David Foster replacing Mark Smallman at the helm for the 2012 season.
New Year's Eve party confirmed at Riverway - promoted by Paul Chubb Hollins - its an 80's theme night
The hockey section's annual fireworks display will take place on Sunday 6th November at 6pm. The bar will be open as well as a BBQ
The cricket section club shop was launched this week. Members will be able to buy playing and leisure wear as well cricket equipment by Newbery at trade prices.
New sponsors of the club include The Nicky Snazell Clinic at Wolseley Bridges, The Metropolitan Bar and Odgens Heating & Plumbing Services
Rounders England have confirmed that Riverway will be the venue for one of their internationals in July 2012
Stafford Cricket Club are helping in the production of a new book being written by Brian Rendell about the life and times of RWV Robins who captained Middlesex and England between the wars. Although RWV never played for Stafford, his father and uncles were stalwart members and talented cricketers of our club before the first world war. We have been able to lend some of our minute books as will as a copy of the SF Barnes testimonial photograph that shows RWV and his son Charles which was taken at The Hough in 1953 (see our History section on this website)
The new members lounge was opened on the 23rd July by the mayor (see Staffordshire Newsletter and Express & Star)
On the 5th August Riverway hosts the annual Barmy Army game. This year is the 10th anniversary and as ever it is all for charity
Rounders England played host to Wales inan international on 24th July
Summer fete @ Riverway - The Donna Louise Trust are holding a summer fete at Riverway on Saturday 4th June, the fun starts at 10.30am - all welcome
The new members lounge at The Brian Westhead Pavilion is now completed. The 25K project allows the club to hold seperate functions at any one time. An official opening will take place sometime in July. In the meantime all members are invited to sample a pint or two in this impressive facility.
We can confirm that this year's Annual beer festival will be held on Thursday 7th, Friday 8th & Saturday 9th April 2011. there will be various ales and ciders as well as food and entertainment. All welcome
On the 10th February, the club held its Annual General Meeting. The existng management committee was unanimously voted back in and are looking to continue with the development of the ground and club house. It was agreed tat they would immediately look to souce the funding for a new members lounge. The club also reported a profi for the previous financial year

The AK Mid Staffs T20 semi-finals were held at Riverway on Sunday 5th September with Milford Hall and Cannock progressing to the final which will be held at Milford on 19th September

The army held their annal Princess Royal family day and cricket tournament at Riverway on 24th June which was a resounding success
Perimeter Advertising Boards
The club has managed to sell a further 10 perimeter advertising boards this Spring, but there's plenty of room for more....If your company would like to advertise with an 8' x 2' board, all year round with over 10,000 people seeing the board, contact the Guy on 07710 89836

Stafford Cricket & Hockey Club Beer festival
Our 3 day beer festival is only round the corner and commences on Thursday 8th April. There will be 20 beers and ciders on offer at The Brian Westhead Pavilion wiht music and food on every night. On the saturday there will also be a hockey festival and Rugby match. Non members are more than welcom to attend
Stafford Ladies Hockey Club 60th Anniversary Ball
Staford Ladies HC are throwing a Ball to celebrate the end of its 60th season. The ball will be held at The Tillington Hall Hotel on Saturday 24th April 2010. Tickets are priced at £25 and more details can be obtained from Carmel Varga - email@carmelvarga.com

Last night at a meeting at Riverway, a new league was formed ! The Mid Staffs Sunday 20:20 league will be played in July and August and the founder members are Milford, Stafford, Aldridge, Brewood, Cannock & Rugeley and Cannock. Football Quiz on 7th March 2010
The club are holding a Manchester United themed football quiz on Sunday 7th March to raise funds for the proposed new netting area. All football fans are welcome following the success of last years event. Teams of 4 are invited to take part with food and prizes on the night. More info via email
Stafford Cricket and Hockey Club AGM
The AGM of the club was held at Riverway on 28th January 2010 and the committee were delighted to report that the club had made a profit on the years trading upto September 2009. This is the first time sicne moving to the new pavilion that the club had managed to stay out of the red. A new management committee was elected for 2010 with the aim of ensuring the club keeps moving in the right direction.
International Rounders
Rounders England, the sports governing body, have agreed to play an international at Riverway on Sunday 25th July 2010. The fixture is against Wales and at least 4 age groups will participate inthe all day event. For more information please contact Guy Seaton - info@riverway-events.co.uk

Cricket section Annual Golf Day - 14/5/10
Stafford Cricket club are holding their annual golf day on Friday 14th May 2010 at Stafford Castle Golf Club. Teams of 4 are asked to enter and the day will include Breakfast on arrival, 18 holes of Golf, 3 course meal follwoed by prizes. The cost is £37.50 per player. Please contact Guy if you are interested in entering a team. Last year's event was a resounding success and we hope to have a fantastic day again.
Cricket section re-union - 22/8/10
On 22nd August 2010, Stafford Cricket Club will be holding our annual President's day by invistation of our president, Mr Dennis Wall. On the same day, we are arranging a re-union for all ex-members of the club. If you fall into this category, we would like to see you at the club on that day. Benches
Anyone who has not been to Riverway recently will not have seen the new benches around the boundary. We presently have 5, with a further 5 to be erected in the Spring. We would ideally like to have the benches dedicated....so if you would like to dedicate a bench to the memory of someone, please feel free to get in touch with Guy or Chris Emery.
The Donna Louise Trust
Riverway Events and SCHC have agreed to offer all out facilities to the Donna Louise Trust in 2010. Please see our events calender for more details as they have already arranged 2 summer events for 2010.
Senior Cricket Nets
Winter nets commence on Sunday January 31st 2010 from 2pm at Blessed William Howard School. All existing playing members are asked to attend as are any new members who wish to join the club. For more details ring Guy on 07710 898361
